Spring Wrap Up
The beginning if May indicates warmer weather and time for boats and BBQ’s. The fundraising auction season is slowing down and only a few brave and focused groups will dare to have an event that competes with the beauty of an Inland Northwest Summer evening.
We’ve learned a few things this spring. It appears the most important thing is simply reaffirmation of the importance of developing a solid timeline and sticking to it. The time frame for keeping bidder attention is short. Being aware of that helps us select that sweet spot for the live auction. Keeping the number of items offered limited to your specific timeline and making videos and speaking roles as short as possible all play into the feel of overall event success.
Following the printed timeline is as vital as ever. If you say the silent is closing at 7:30, it better close at 7:30.
It was an incredibly successful spring with many events more than exceeding their goals. We saw more games such as the 5th line drawing and the Run Around and fewer Heads and Tails and raffles. A focused effort to increase participation in the Paddle Raise portion of the evening is handily increasing revenue.
It is such an honor to partner with non-profits and charities in this community. Thank you for your trust and faith in us. We love the impact you make on the community and in turn the whole world. – Matt and Rose Backs
